Sensex Gain most in 10 months – Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) – Record weekly Gain
With the continuous flow of foreign funds into the market and coupled with the confidence of the investors and Growth Prospects, better than expected due to good monsoon, and last but not the least the strong corporate fundamentals and a positive market sentiment from all quarters took the Sensex continued its onward march to a record high and gained best in weekly returns not witnessed during last 32 months

Against the record purchase of $17.5 billion last year, Foreign Institutional Investors have already bought $15.4 billion in Indian equities during the current year.The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) posted its best weekly gain in the Sensex The index opened at 19436.71 and saw a high of 19639.18 before closing the index at 19594.75 an increase of 177.26 or 0.91% over its previous close. This was the best weekly gain of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in 12 months. The major gainers were Reliance Communications, ACC , Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries and Sterlite Industries. The major losers were ICICI Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hero Honda, Reliance Infra and ITC Ltd.
Similarly in theNational Stock Exchange (NSE),Nifty too moved in a similar chart Opening at 5828.70 it saw a high of 5898.40 and closed the day at 5884.95 recording a gain of 56.25 points or 0.97 per cent over previous lose. The major gasiners in the Nifty were R.Com, Ranbaxy, Ambuja Cements, ABB and Idea Cellular while the losers included Wipro, HDFC,Marutiu, NTPC and Siemens.
