Sensex or the benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange I(BSE) closed 72 points up from its previous close at 20045.18 points During the day the Sensex reached an intraday high of 2-,267.98 points. The fuelling of the Sensex is due to robust FII inflows with an appetite for Indian capital markets.

The Bombay Stock Exchange opened at 20082.26 points and reached a high of 20267.98 and low of 20082.26 before closing the day at 20117.38 compared to Friday's closing rate of 20045.18 an increase of 72.20 points or 0.36% over its previous close. The major gainers being India Infoline, Sterling Biotech, Videocon Industries, Balrampur Chini and Hindustan Zinc in A Group while the losers in A Group were Mahindra & Mahindra Fin. Koutons Retail, Nagarjuna Constrution, Moser Bear, PTC India.
National Stock Exchange (NSE) NiftyNifty ended at 6018.30, saw a high of 6073.50 and closed at 6035.65 a gain of 17.35 points or 0.29 percent over Friday's losoing. The gainers of

were ABB, Sterling, Hindalco,, Tara Steel and NTPC while the Nifty losers were HDFC Bank, Hindustani, Suzann, Idea, and ITC
