Despite FIIs Net Buying BSE Sensex Witness Flat Trade Today

Both Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex and National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed dull trade today. This is despite the net buying by the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) who made a net purchase of securities. This is the combined fkigure of both BSE and NSE. The sales were valued at 3339.38 crores against purchase of Rs 2766.25 crores, a net purchase value of Rs 573.13 crores.

The sales were valued at 3339.38 crores against purchase of Rs 2766.25 crores, a net purchase value of Rs 573.13 crores. However, the Domestic Institutional Investors on NSE and BSE pressed sale of securities worth Rs 1993.21 and purchased securities worth Rs 1087.89 with a net sale of Rs 905.32 crores, during the day.
Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex opened at 20114.37, saw a high of 20157.51 a low of 19981.96 and closed at 20104.86 and lost 12.52 points or 0.06% over its Monday close at 20117.38 points. There was fluctuation of 176 points during the day. The Gainers in A Group were ABB, Sintex, Federal Bank, Bank of India and Castrol India. The Losers in Sensex A Group were Koutons Rel, Idea Cellular, Dr Reddys, IDFC and Balaji Holdings.

Similarly Nifty which opened at 6036.05 saw a high of 6049.80 and a low of 5991.30 and closed at 6029.50 losing marginally 6.15 points or 0.1% over Monday's closing. The major gainers in Nifty included among others, ABB, Siemens, Relinfra, DLF and M & M and losers in Nifty were HDFC< IDFC, Reliance and BPCL
