Learn Magic - Kerala University Recognises “Magic” Classes

Kerala University has recognized the courses conducted by Magic Academy. Now one can enroll for the Professional Magic Courses, as the recognition comes from the Center for Adult Continuing Education Extension (CACEE) of Kerala University.

Kerala University has recognized the courses conducted by Magic Academy. Now one can enroll for the Professional Magic Courses, as the recognition comes from the Center for Adult Continuing Education Extension (CACEE) of Kerala University. The certificate course will be of 100 hours duration while diploma courses have 200 hours. While the Magic Academy will be the monitoring acceptance of applications and run the classes, CACEE will conduct the examinations.

The diploma course will teach the art and science of magic while the certificate course will impart history of magic, close up magic and conjuring magic. Those who have passed senior secondary or equivalent examination are eligible to apply for the certificate course.

Diploma course is open only to those who pass the certificate course or presently are already on stage performing magic. Gopinath Muthukad, the Executive Director of Magic Academy and K.A.Hashim, Registrar of Kerala University signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard on Wednesday .
Gopinath Muthukad, who established academy 14 years ago is Asia's first and has been offering a number of services to the magicians.

The academy also have the distinction for having pioneered the idea of using magic as an efficient medium for spreading relevant public service messages.While classes are scheduled to start by end 2010, Application Forms will be on tap by October 2010,.
