Sri Padhmanabhaswami temple Sri Padhmanabha swamy temple

This temple is famous for the dravidian architecture.It is located inside the east fort.It is known for the stone carvings and mural paintings.This Temple was rebuilted by the great king 'Marthandavarma' in 1733AD.This temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Pathmanabhaswamy(Lord Vishnu).Only hindhus are allowed here.

Napier Museum
Napier museum is a destination where art,culture and nature interact together.It is situated near palayam.Many tourists are coming to watch the museum in 80acres of land with a beutiful natural garden.The sculptures inside the museum are made as the combinationof art of Chinese and Mughals by the British.Here we can see a wonderful world of ornaments,sculptures,costumes,and various musical instruments.Visitors are not allowed on monday.

Sreechithra art gallery
Sreechithra art gallery is located near the Napier museum.This art gallery displays some of the selective paintings of the famous artist 'Sri Rajaravivarma'and other famous artists.It also includes paintings from Japan,China,Tibet and Bali.

Kovalam Beach
Kovalam beach is one of famous beach in India.It is 16 kilometers away from Thiruvananthapuram.

Shanghumugham beach near airport,Malikakottaram near Sri Padhmanabhaswamy temple,Planetorium,Scientific museum at PMG near palayam are the other places to be visited in Thiruvanathapuram.
