The foundation stone for the proposed Kannur Airport will be laid by Union Civil Aviation Minister, Praful Patel, in the first week of December.
Besides Union Ministers, Chief State Chief Minister V S Achuthanadhan, other state ministers and people's representatives will participate in the function.

The foundation stone for the proposed Kannur Airport will be laid by Union Civil Aviation Minister, Praful Patel, in the first week of December.
Besides Union Ministers, Chief State Chief Minister V S Achuthanadhan, other state ministers and people's representatives will participate in the function.
An Organizing Committee for construction of the Airport comprising of State ministers, MPs and MLAs from Kannur with the district collector V K Balakrishnan as its convener was formed and the next meeting is scheduled to be held on November 20 at Mattannur.
Apart from 1200 acres of land already acquired for the proposed airport, another 783 acres would be acquired soon.
