Kerala has been sanctioned Rs 97.31 crores by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) from its Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for implementation of various projects in the State in different districts.

Kerala has been sanctioned Rs 97.31 crores by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) from its Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for implementation of various projects in the State in different districts.
Out of the sanctioned amount of Rs 97.31 crore, Rs 881.44 lakh was earmarked for the development of infrastructure in rural educational institutions in Kerala. The other projects for which the funds would be utilized pertain to Kundara IT Park to be set up in Kollam district (Rs 1624.13 lakhs, besides eight Forest Development proposals An amount of Rs 262.31 lakhs goes to drainage and flood protection projects in Alappuzha, Kozhikode and Kottayam districts, of Kerala Land Development Corporation (KLDC).
As per estimate the impklementation of the projects through dewatering and raising of additional crop would directly benefit about 600 farmers. As per press release "the amount of Rs 3,245.59 lakh sanctioned for implementation of 94 minor irrigation projects in various districts of Kerala which included 21 projects of distressed district of Kasargod and Palakkad. In addition, a loan amount of Rs 568.1 lakh had been sanctioned to five minor irrigation projects in Kottayam district".
In addition to the above projects, Rs 2,649.6 lakh has been allotted for implementation of three rural roads of PWD and two bridges in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram.
