Mammooty The Best Actor

Muhammed Kutty popularly known as "Mammooty", was born on 7-sep 1953 in Chempu in Vikom.His was a middle class family with out any history of acting. But he was having deep desire to become an actor from his childhood. He is considered as on of the greatest method actors in the country and he is five time national Award winner.

Early life
By Qualification Mammooty is a lawyer, he was Graduated from Maharajas College Ernakulam.His film carrier starts with the movie Devalokam, never saw light of the day. Mammootys god father in the flim industry was the veteran writer M.T Vasudevan Nair, he discovered Mammotys acting skills. But Mammoty grew up as an actor through veteran director K.G Georges movies like "Yavanika","Vilkanundu Swapanagal" etc..Even after 5 years of his entry in to Malayalam Cinema he couldn't make mark in Main stream Cinema which was ruled by super stars of the time.

Turning Point
Mammooty was struggling to release his Movie "Thaniyavarthanam", but director Joshi came as Savior, he made the movie "New Delhi" with Mammooty, Which turn out to be a Mega hit. This movie marked Mammooty as the super star of Malayalam Cinema.His Character of a victimized journalist took revenge on the politicians was new breath for him as well as for the industry, from then on he had never
looked back he had number of hit commercial movies to his name.

The Saga Continues
He emerged as a super star, he was a favorite of commercial movies as well as Art movies. His greatest fortune was that he got to work with the ace writer M.T Vasudevan Nair, in the movies like "Alkkotathil Thaniye" received great applause from Critics and from the mass.

The next Biggest hit of Mammoty was "Oru CBI Diary Kurppu" directed by K.Madhu, which gave a new definition to investigative Malayalam Cinema. This movie was bench mark in Malayalam Industries, it only Malayalam Movie which have 4 sequels and the fifth one on the cards Mammotty touched the pinnacle of his carrier in Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha scripted by M.T Vasudevan Nair. He depicted the role "Chandu" Which won him his First National Award for the Best Actor Category. This movie was a stunner, even after 20 years of its release it hasn't faded away from the Memories of Malayalees Mammooty didn't hesitate to work with art movie makers like Adoor Gopalakrishnan,T.V Chandran etc.. He number of movies with Adoor gopalakrishnan.He won his second national award for Adoor Gopalakrishnans Mathilukal and Third for T.V Chandrans "Ponthan Mada"

Other Languages
Mammootty crossed the boundaries of Malayalam, he acted Tamil,Telugu and Hindi In Tamil he acted in Manirathnam's "Dalapathi" along with Rajinikanth.Which was a super hit. But he couldn't make a mark in Hindi movies, But his performance as Dr B.R Ambedkar won him his forth national award

Mammooty was criticized for his in ability to dace and comedies, in the major part of his carrier he was confined to Serious roles. He answered his critics by doing the movies like Rajamanikayam,Pokkiriraja(Where he dances). It was trend after the Success of Rajamanikayam that Every Directer want to do Comedy Movies with Mammooty
