Ernakulam : The Largest City of Kerala
Ernakulam, which is the largest city of Kerala state is located at the center of Kerala. The major tourist attractions here are Mattancheri, Fort Cochin,
Willington island, Vaipin island, Bolgati island.This islands are connected by bridges and boats.
The Portuguese had constructed this palace. It has been gifted to the ruler of Cochin in 1555.The Dutch has been reconstructed this palace in 1663. It is then known as Dutch Palace. The main attractions are wall sculptures.The visiting time is from 10am to 5pm.
It is a historcal place in Ernakulam and a major tourist destination.Churches situated at this place are famous.
St.Francis Church was built by Portuguese Franciscan friars. This church was actually made by wood. The church has been reconstructed using stone. Church has been restored by the Dutch in 1779. When British empire rule India, the church had became an anglican church.Santacruise Basolica is another church located at this place. The church had get some damages as a result of the war between English and Dutch.
Parikshit Thampuran Museum which is located inside the 'Darbar hall'
near the Siva temple is one of the popular museum here. The tourists can
watch the oil paintings, coins, sculptures and temple models at this museum.
Hill Palace museum is the another one which is located at Thripoonithara.

Jet Airways are now in serice at Nedumbasseri airport.
KSRTC buststand is available which connects to all important cities of Kerala. Bus services are also available to Tamil Nadu and Kartnataka.
Two railway stations are there- Ernakulam junction and Ernakulam town.
