Modern keyboards are designed to work for English language and English language got only for 52 glyphs while Malayalam language has more than 180 glyphs. So where do you get all the fonts? We cannot create a new keyboard; it won't work well with the international standards. For solving this we created Unicode but still it has many limitations. One cannot by heart all the Unicode values to input.Synopsis
Unicode consists of almost all languages in the world but for inputting We need to memorize all the Unicode values which is not quite possible so you are left with two options
i) Transliteration Type in English and you get the text in language you want, but it is not effective. You won't get all the glyphs and to do this you have to be a master of English language and combining the alphabets. THIS IS NOTCONVERSION.
ii) On screen keyboards It is the most effective way of typing languages other than English. It is a software where in you have all the buttons and just click the buttons get the text and paste it. It does not require any pre requisite knowledge about computers.Indian language Computing
Our country has become an independent strong nation. Our IT sector is doing miracles but what about our languages? Were we able to incorporate our great languages into the cyber space? I would say no. Even how many of our government websites have HINDI pages? The problem lies in how we type these languages.

We have provided Harisree to many education to promote the use of Malayalam typewriting and are receiving positive feedbacks from all. The panchayat office of Manarcadu, a Village in Kottayam District, has asked us to prepare a Hindi version of Harisree.

You have done a good post. You can do better by using html tag such as h1, h2 tags for heading to look good. It will impress our editors to give more cash and points.
