Kerala won the overall team title for the in the 54th National schools athletic meet held at Pune.

Kerala retains title in National school meet


It was for the 14th consecutive year, Kerala won the overall team title in the 54th National schools athletic meet held at Pune.This triumph of Kerala being secured the first position with a total of 81 medals includes 39 gold medals, 19 silver medals and 23 bronze medals.

Gold medalists for Kerala are:-


MD Thara-Girl's cross country race
Lijo Mani-Junior boy's 800 m event
KT Neena-Junior girl's 3 km walk
Alga Winny James-Senior girl's long jump
Jessy Joseph-Senior girl's 800m
Sujith Kuttan-Senior boys 100m
PU Chitra-Senior girl's 3000m,5000m and 1500m
