Recently released Malayalam movie ‘Traffic' has been welcomed by malayalees, though film does not involve any superstar touch. Mollywood hitlist 2011 starts with TRAFFIC.Unlike the Director Rajesh Pillai's debut film 'Hridayathil Sookshikkan', Traffic is an excellent emotional thriller. He made the script of Bobby- Sanjay team, who have scripted the movies ‘Ente veedu appoontem' and ‘Note book' superb. The theme of Traffic is very different and incomparable. Even though all actors in the movie are familiar for us, everyone's character will give a shock us. The different theme and presentation will break the previous images of all characters. Sreenivasan and his actor-singer son Vineeth are again joining together after ‘Makante Achan' in this Rajesh Pillai film in which Remya nambeeshan and Kunchakko Boban are playing lead roles. We cannot see old sreenivasan, Kunchakko and Remya. Everyone handles entirely different characters which give surprise and suspense to viewers. Story of Traffic
Traffic narrated the story through the sequences of five men, a traffic police constable (Sahadevan),a doctor (Dr.Abel Tharyan), a film star (Siddharth), a college student (Rajeev) and a journalist (Raihan) . Those are meeting at a traffic island by coincidence. The film presents that this meeting of them collapses the lives of all and how it takes place as sequences. One death is happens...If that death will help to save another life…? This is a story of incidents which take place after efforts of a group of men by taking such a possibility. This is a journey in a jeep for a life. 12 hours journey from Kochi to palakkady in which many some dangers and mysteries are hidden. In the half way of journey jeep misses… From there the mysteries reveal…. The director made have a high suspense ending in this film. The roles of Kunchakko and Krishna give threatening surprise which can follow the viewers after leaving the theater. Traffic reveals the new face of Kunchakko which never ever seen. He does an imotional role with less dialogue and more expressions, but strikes the viewers' mind. Vineeth appears in small role, but his role becomes a main thread in the movie. Sreenivasan's character gives some humorous moments in first half, but giving a emotional feeling by his scarifies at the end. This is an ordinary story, more over it is a reality which maytake place anyone's life.
Rahman comes as a film star and performs with his mannerism and dialogues. Asif Ali, the new actor, is a silent character, as a friend of Vineeth Sreenivasan, and he performed his part well. Anoop Menon was looking the new way of acting as a Police officer in Traffic. He added another hit in his account in the name of Traffic after his last year hit movie ‘Cocktail'. In Traffic, he is a kind man to help for other,s virtuous life. .
Old Legend actor Jose Prakash make a waves in theatres in his cameo role. Saikumar, Rony, Vijayakumar are the other supporting actors.
From actress side, Remya Nambeeshan, Lena and Sandhya are played perfect roles in the film. Roma, Reena Basheer and new comer Namitha did it well.
Two songs by Mejo Joseph who acted and composed the music in Note book are aptly placed in the movie. Background music was grand one, which is perfect for a thriller road-movie.Real Hero of Traffic is its Script from Bobby-Sanjay
The script from Bobby-Sanjay plays the role to shock the viewers and made a brilliant thrilling emotional road movie. And the direction by Rajesh Pillai made this wonderful script to a terrific creation. Shaiju Khalid's camera and Mahesh Narayanan's editing also give life for the Movie Traffic.
Job oriented 
Really one of the great film that I ever seen in Malayalam film history. Traffic is one of the thrilling film that will make you jump from your seat all times. As you said, the real hero in this film is the Script. Hats off to Sanjay-Bobby team.
One more interesting thing is that Traffic may be the first Malayalam film that can be say as a Hyperlink Cinema. A good start to Malayalam cinema on 2011. We can now prove that our films are not merely dependent on superstars but also on good ideas and its projections.
