Kerala PSC exam application form Tips

This article will give you important tips about how to fill in the Kerala PSC exam application form.

Top 10 Tips for filling in Kerala PSC Application Form

There are certain aspects to keep in mind when filling in your Kerala PSC exams 2011 application form

1. As mentioned earlier, check out a sample filled-in KPSC application form which is in the information brochure.

2. Do not fold & re-fold the application form numerous times – you are not making origami designs! If a fold is necessary, the line demarcated for it will be clearly visible on the form.

3. Some people fill in the application form but forget to sign! So do remember to double check that your signature is clear and visible in the designated space. An application form without the signature will be rejected.

4. If you leave anything blank, even if it is a minor detail, your form will be rejected. All requisite bubbles, boxes and columns must be filled in completely.

5. You must not send any documents, certificates, identity cards or copies of any of these with the application form. You must also not enclose any self-addressed envelopes with the application form. The application form must be sent by itself, as it is, in its prescribed format, without any attachments or enclosures.

6. You must ensure that you have checked out beforehand the age criteria for a particular post. For all KPSC recruitment, the age is calculated as on January 1st of the year in which the KPSC notification for the selection is published. In the case of SC/ST candidates, there is a relaxation of 5 years and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates (in the upper age limit).

7. You must ensure beforehand that you do have the necessary educational qualifications, years of experience, and other requirements before filling in the application form. These must be fulfilled on or before the the last date stipulated for the receipt of the application and not after the stipulated date.

8. If the KPSC recruitment & exam notification has been issued for more than one District, you cannot submit multiple applications in the different Districts. You must submit only one application in any one District.

9. The duly filled in application form must be sent only to the address given in the 2011 Kerala PSC exams notification for the specific post/exam.

10. Send your application form well in time – don't wait till the nth hour! Factor in public holidays/Govt. holidays and make sure your form reaches the designated address at least one day before the last date.
