Vayalar Ravi, Overseas Indian Affairs Minister has got an extra charge of Civil Aviation while Praful Patel has been moved from Civil Aviation to the Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Ministry. Ashwani Kumar will handle the Planning and Parliamentary Affairs and Science and Technology and Earth Sciences. Sharad Pawar, present agriculture Minister has got an additional charge of the Consumer Affairs and Food, Civil Supplies portfolio and Food Processing Industries.
Jaipal Reddy who is the current Urban Development Minister has been moved to Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry. Kapil Sibal retained his department Telecom and HRD.
Virbhadra Singh gets the new department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises by removing from Steel Ministry. Vilasrao Deshmukh has been lost his current department and he has got the new charge of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises to Rural Development and Panchayati Raj too.
Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry has gone from the hands of M S Gill to Ajay Maken and Gill takes over the charge of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

C P Joshi has been handed over his present department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Ministry to Vilasrao Deshmukh and takes over the Road Transport and Highways Ministry.
