Sourav Ganguly to be in Kerala IPL team

Sourav Ganguly, former India captain who was unsold in the IPL auctions may join the Kochi IPL team. Debates are going on in this issues.

Sourav Ganguly, the most successful Indian captain and one of the best left handers in the world, who left unsold in the IPL season 4 auctions may be a part of Kochi IPL team during the coming seasons. The leading news papers reported that the Kerala team had approached the BCCI for the matter. One of the co-owners Vivek Venugopal refused to comment on the reports. "He didn't accepted or rejected" reported the news papers.
According to the rules of the IPL, the capped players, who were a part of the auctions can be bought only in the open auctions. So even if the news is true, it will be very much difficult for Kochi to bring Ganguly to the team. Kochi should obtain a Non Objection Certificate (NOC) from all other franchises and then applay to the BCCI. If this comes true, this will be a surprise for all the Ganguly fans and the Kochi fans.
Sourav Ganguly, who has a wide fan base in the cricketing nations and especially in Kolkata and other regions in India will really an asset to the Kochi team. Since kochi lacks the batsmen from India, Ganguly who was the fourth high scorer in IPL season 3, will be very much helpful. But it will be very much difficult to obtain the NOC from Kolkata Knight Riders since this can price their majority fans in Kolkata.
