Sreeshanth left out of world cup squad

Fifteen member Indian cricket team for the world cup was announced, but with a splash of shock to the Keralites as Indian speedster S.Sreeshanth who hails from Kerala was not included in the squad. S.Sreeshanth has done fairly well in the recent South African series but failed to find space in the Indian cricket squad which fuels a tad of controversy. This medium fast bowler has often hits the news headlines either for performance with the ball or for some wrong reasons. Sreeshanth has the knack to court controversies and has ended up in paying penalties or got suspended. Once T.V cameras caught this maverick bowler for bawling following a squabble with Indian spinner Harbajan singh. His aggressive countenance in the field has often attracted criticism from the advocates of gentlemen's game- cricket. The most recent issue in this aspect was the spat with South African skipper smith which fetch him a penalty. Sreeshanths wasn't exonerated for his jigs whirling his bat after hitting Neil for a six. Cricket legend Wasim Akram has commented that he would have included Sreeshanth if he was to select the Indian cricket team.Former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly also didn't digest the idea of not taking Sreeshanth in the world cup squad.

His audacious nature make him less favourable with many cricket lovers but his blemish less passion for cricket cannot be counted low. He has seen rough patches in his career but has strongly come back and made a mark in his tenure. It's very evident that Sreeshanth failed to enter in the good books of captain M.S Dhoni, which contributed very much to his downfall. As Sreeshanth tweeted he believes in God and his 'never say die' attitude will turn the fortunes to his side.
