Race is the new Malayalam movie directed by Kukku Surendran who directed the films Veeralipattu and Oral. Although the previous films, did not well at the box office, they were fine. Now he is back to show his mettle as a good director. Race scripted by the director himself, will be a family thriller with a racy narration. The film is the first-of-its-kind in Malayalam cinema to be shot with a Red One 4K camera and is made on a minimal budget. Race tries to depict the honest and dishonest ways of making money. Kunchakko Boban, Mamta Mohandas and Gouri Munjal are the important characters in Race.
Kunchakko Boban in Race plays Dr.Aby john, an awardee of IMA for his significant services in career. He is a successful cardeo surgeon. Mamta in Race plays Niya, the wife of Aby. Achu(Baby Anika) is the daughter of Aby and Niya. Their life is full of happiness until the arrival of Niranjan. The versatile actor Indrajith plays the villain in Race which is an unknown character and kidnaps Dr. Aby on his way to Bangalore. Chakkochan in Race have a mature look with glasses and Bulganian beard.
Gouri Munjal plays another important character in Race, which has connection to the kidnapping of Aby. The other supporting casts include Jagathy Sreekumar, Baby Anika, Manu Jose, Kavitha Lekshmy, Sreejith Ravi, Geetha Vijayan and Chembil Asokan. The movie is said to be a thriller, but will not have any fight sequences at all. The Dialogues of race are penned by Robin Thirumala.
The cinematography of Race is handled by Prmaod Varma. Viswajith will tune the songs for Race penned by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma .The editing of Race is by Bipin Mannur. Race being produced by Jose K George and Shaji Varghese under the banner of Pentavision. The movie being shoted in and around Kochi, will grace the theatres soon.
According to latest reports, the release date of Malayalam Movie Race is February 11.
