Camping is getting to be a favourite sport in these days when all are looking out for weekend getaways and picnics. There are guidelines which have to be followed for each and every sport. One has the moral responsibility to keep the camp site clean and tidy without littering the place with your refuse.

Before you start on a camping trip you have to go through some steps on precautions, essential skills which you have to have before you leave and collect all the necessary things you will need there at the camping. There are Dos and Don't list which you have to follow whatever you are doing. You also will have to follow some rules and regulations while you camp out.

Precautions you have to take before Camping in Kerala

Wherever you are you need to take precautions. As is at your home, you will have to face some hazards and risks while camping tour also. This becomes very essential as many do not know what all precautions they have to take.
Always the word precaution takes the meaning of first aid kit first, then suntan lotion as well as a bug repellant. First it is not enough if you take them, you have to learn to use the kits as and when needed. If you know what is to be done for snake bite or a fracture, the medical aid need not wait till the doctors arrive. One should be able to help in al these.
Care and planning should precede whatever you do.
Take care never to pack wet or damp tents in their bags, they are inclined to decay or rot.

Dos and Don't s for you while camping

You should always leave the camp site better and cleaner than how you found it. You should leave any refuse there to rot and leave a bad smell.
While choosing the camp site , you have to choose a place where you will have to ctreate minimum damage to the vegetation or the environment. It would be better if you could choose an non vegetated area like sandy or rocky beaches, Another method is to take a smaller number of people with you while camping, then the damages will be less.
You should not spoil the natural splendour of the area. If you are rafting, canoeing or fishing, you should take care when launching or landing your canoes, rafts, kayaks etc.
Try to maintain the silence in the area if it is a wild life sanctuary or reserved forest area. There is no point in irritating the wild animals in their home. Do not cuttrees for wood unnecessarily.

Essential Gears needed for the Camping trips

The tent should be strong enough to resist strong wind if you are camping by the beach side.
Sunscreen lotion and bug repellants should be taken without forget. They will be neededwhen you are going out in the sun as well as wbhile camping.
The other items you will need are Sunglares to block the UV rays, T shirts, shorts for the day, An army knife and a torch is a must which you should have with you.
Socks and stockings you use should be 20% acrylic and the rest wool.
Carry drinking water with you and while buying see that the seal is not tampered with.
Nowadays hand sanitizers are available, it would be better if you take some with you when you leave for a camping or outdoor trip.
