Ouseppachan - The National Award Winning Music Director
Ouseppachan is one of the most-sought after music composers in Malayalam films today. He was born on 13 September 1954 in Ollur, Thrissur district. He attended St. Thomas' college, Thrissur. He had shown an aptitude for music very early in his life, and had attended violin classes, and became an expert violinist. He was also active in the local Church choir.
He had joined playback singer P. Madhuri's troupe as a violinist. He later got acquainted with master musician, G Devarajan, and joined his group as a violinist. He debut work in film industry started with the film Eenam for which he set the background score. He composed the soundtrack for the film Aaravam (1979). He had also appeared in that movie in a brief role. It was his music score for the movie Kathodu Kathoram, a 1985-hit movie directed by Bharathan, which made him famous. All the songs in this were well noticed by the public. These songs had an excessive slant for violin music, since these songs were composed for the protagonist of the movie, a violinist, played by Mamootty. Since then, Ouseppachan had gone on to do about 70 movies. He had also done background score for Hindi movies, Aakrosh and Khatta Meetha, and music score for Freaky Chakra. There is also one Hollywood movie to his credit, Dam 999.

Ouseppachan had won National Award in 2007 for his work in the movie Ore Kadal, He had also won Kerala State Awards for his musical work in the movie Unnikale Oru Katha Parayam in 1987. He had also won Filmfare Award
He also appears as judge on TV Reality Shows of popular channels like Asianet, and Amritha.
