Vento is a mid class premium Sedan from German makers Volkswagen. It is a medium class budgeted car. Its technology is almost same as that of their own Polo. It is equipped with the same engine of Polo. The overall length of the car is 4384 mm with a width of 1699 mm and 1466 mm height. It has a ground clearance of 168 mm and wheel base of 2552 mm. This highly powerful engine lays out an impressive power of 105 bhp at 5250 rpm and a thumping torque of 153 Nm at 3800 rpm for the petrol engine and 250 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm for the diesel engine. Volkswagen India has launched five models of Volkswagen Vento. They are Vento Petrol Trendline, Vento Petrol Highline, Vento Petrol Highline AT, Volkswagen Vento Diesel Trendline, Volkswagen Vento Diesel Highline. Vento Trendline petrol and diesel versions are available in candy white and flash red colours while the Highline petrol and diesel versions are available in Terre Beige, Shadow Blue, Reflex Silver and Deep Black colours. It is equipped with all safety features (in highline model) required for the safety of the passengers as well as the car. This includes features like ABS, front airbags for driver and co-driver, anti-theft system with interior surveillance and back up alarm. The price of the basic variant starts from 7 lakhs and goes up to 9.3 lakhs for the top variant.
