Vanitha Film Awards 2011 announced
TTK Prestige Vanitha Film Awards has been announced. Mammotty and Mamtha Mohandas bagged the Best Actor and Best Actress Awards respectively. The other Awards are listed below
TTK Prestige Vanitha Film Awards 2011
Mammootty was selected as the 'Best Actor' of TTK Prestige Vanitha Film Awards which was decided on the basis of audience poll. Mammootty bagged this award for his outstanding performance in 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint' directed by Renjith. Mamtha Mohandas bagged the 'Best Actress Award' for her performance as Vidya Lakshmi in the movie, 'Kadha Thudarunnu'. Veteran actor Jagathy Sreekumar would be honoured with Lifetime Achievement trophy. Ranjith got the 'Best Director and Script Writer Award' for his movie 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'. 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint' got a total of five awards. The awards were declared on the basis of the polling done by the viewers in Manorama Online and from the coupons which were published along with the Malayala Manorama Daily and Vanitha. Almost 2 lakhs people gave their opinion to select the best artists of the last year. The various winners are as follows.
Best Actor - Mammootty
Mammootty bagged the 'Best Actor Award' for his outstanding performance in 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint' directed by Renjith.
Best Actress – Mamtha Mohandas
Mamtha Mohandas bagged the 'Best Actress Award' for her role, Vidya Lakshmi in the Movie 'Kadha Thudarunnu'.
Best Director – Ranjith
Ranjith received the 'Best Director' Award for directing the movie 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'.
Life Time Achievement Award – Jagathy SreeKumar
Jagathy Sreekumar honoured with the 'Life Time Achievement Award'.
Best Supporting Actor – Biju Menon
Biju Menon bagged the 'Best Supporting Actor' Award for his performance in the film ' Martkkundoru Kunjadu'
Best Supporting Actress – Mithra Kurian
Mithra Kurian bagged the 'Best Supporting Actress" Award for her performance in the movie 'Body Guard'
Best comedy actor - Salim Kumar
Best Villian – Siddique
The 'Best Villian' (anti hero) Award was given to Siddique for his performance as the anti-hero (villan) of Mammootty in the film 'Pokkiriraja'
Best Singer (male) – Yesudas
Yesudas bagged the 'Best Male Singer' Award for the Song "pinne ennodonnum" in the film Shikkar.
Best Singer(female) - Shreya Ghoshal
Shreya Ghoshal bagged the 'Best Female Singer' Award for the Song "kizhkkupookum" in the film 'Anwar'.
Best lyricist - Rafeequ Ahmed
Rafeequ Ahmed received the 'Best Lyricist' Award for the song "kizhkkupookum" in the film 'Anwar'. This song is also selected as the popular song by the voters.
Best Music Director – Gopi Sunder
Gopi Sunder bagged the 'Best Music Director' Award for the song "kizhkkupookum" in the film 'Anwar'.
Best New Face (Female) - Ann Augustine
The 'Best New Face (Female)' Award is for Ann Augustine, for her commendable performance in 'Elsamma Enna Aannkutti'
Best New face (Male) - Shared by the five actors of 'Malarvadi Arts Club'. 
The 'Best New Face (Male)' Award is shared by Nivin Poli, Bhagath, Shravan, Hari and Aju for their performance in the film 'Malarvadi Arts Club'.
Best Pair - Kunjako Boban and Archana Kavi
The 'Best Pair' Award received by Kunjako Boban and Archana Kavi for their performance in the movie 'Mummy and Me'
Best Movie – 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'
Ranjith's 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint' got the 'Best Movie' Award. It is also selected as the popular Movie. Pranchiyettan and the Saint' received a total of five awards.
The awards would be given away at the star-night that would be held at Calicut on February 19. Major Bollywood, Tollywood artists will also participate in the Award ceremony.
