BSNL Scraps Unlimited 2G 3G Internet Plans


BSNL has given a shock treatment to its subscribers by stopping its unlimited 2G/3G internet services after 18th Feb 2011. After this cutoff date, BSNL’s revised plan will come into force. A cap is being imposed on every plan in place of unlimited usage. BSNL decision to scrap its unlimited 2G 3G internet services is a slap in the face of the subscribers.

BSNL has decided to stop its unlimited 2G/3G internet services to subscribers after 18th Feb 2011. After this cutoff date, BSNL's revised plan will come into force. A cap is being imposed on every plan in place of unlimited usage. Following are the details.

* 2G service priced at Rs. 249 per month has been revised to only 6 GB from unlimited.
* 3G service priced at Rs. 1359 per month has been changed to 15 GB free data usage from unlimited.
* 3G service priced at Rs. 1500 per month has been changed to 15 GB data usage from unlimited.
* 3G service priced at Rs. 2720 per month has been revised to 35 GB free data usage from unlimited.

The new plans will take effect after 18th Feb, 2011. Additional usage charges will be from null to Rs. 0.02 per 10KB. Users will have to pay service tax additionally.
