Wagon R Think Big Challenge: Platform for Smart Ideas

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automobile manufacturer has brought an unique initiative to spot and nurture innovative business ideas through a mega contest Wagon R "Think Big Challenge".
Its the second edition of the contest and it aims to get wannabe businessmen to present their ideas and the winner gets to pocket Rs 10 lakh in prize money + a Wagon R car + venture capital funding. The entries for the "Think Big Challenge 2" has begun with online registrations as well as through dealership activities across 19 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune and Chennai.
After the launch of the contest there have been more than 20,000 SMS registrations made already and aroubd 1,200 complete business ideas have been submitted with more than 3 lakh page views on the specially designed website. The last date for registration is March 7, 2011.

How to Participate in the Wagon R Think Big Challenge

1. Send SMS "WagonR TBO" to 53636
2. Log-in to www.wagonrsmartideas.com to submit your business plan or visit your nearest dealers to fill up the registration form.
3. Earn points (5%) for correctly filling the form online/offline.
Take print out of the complete form & submit it at the nearest dealership on or before 7th March to earn points (10%).
4. Collect votes for WILD CARD Entry to city finals.
5. 10 City Winners will be selected per city. Of which 8 winners will be on the basis of the merit of their business idea & points earned and 2 winners will be WILD CARD Entries selected on the basis of the maximum no. of votes collected. (Total Number of Votes = online Votes + Facebook "Like" on your Idea)
6. Last date of Registration: 7th March 2011
7. Last date of submission of complete Business Idea: 16th March 2011
8.Briefing Session will be held at selected Dealerships in 19 Cities on 14th & 15th March 2011 where-in you will be given a Case Study. Best Case Study would earn points (20%). You can get connected to a Dealership, in Step 4 of Registration.
9. Business Proposal Template will be shared with all 10 City Finalist, which should be completed & uploaded on the website.
10. Followed by recording gateway, wherein Participants will be required to make a pitch on their Business Proposal.
11. Experts from Indian Angel Network will evaluate the Business Proposal & recorded Pitch, post which 1 winner from each city will be announced.
12.City winners from all 19 cities will compete in the Zonal Round (19 winners) in Delhi on 2nd-3rd May.
13.4 Zonal Winners to compete the National Round in Delhi on 4th May.
14. Winner to get 10 Lacs + WagonR + opportunity of Venture Capital.
