As per reports appearing in the media, Apple will be launching its latest edition of tablet PC iPad 2 on March 11 2011 in the US markets. iPad 2 comes with a few enhanced features over its predecessor iPad, which had sold 10 million units world wide in 2010. As per reports appearing in the media, Apple will be launching its latest edition of tablet PC iPad 2 on March 11 2011 in the US markets. Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, will be launching the product. Its predecessor iPad had sold 10 million units world wide in 2010. iPad enjoys a market share of 90% in the tablet PC market. By March 25, it will be made available in more than 26 countries. Launch in the Indian markets is not announced yet.

• Available in two colors – black and white.
• Supports both GSM and CDMA networks.
• Thinner than its predecessor by 33% - thickness being 8.8 mm.
• Weigh 15% less
• A5 Dual Core processor, which is 9 times faster in graphic performance, but with same power consumption (10 hrs of battery life)
• A front camera for video and a rear camera for photos
• Gyroscope and HDMI feature to connect to the TV.
• Comes with a new case with wake-on-open-sleep-on-close feature.
• Available for the same price as its predecessor, $499-$829, depending on the memory.
