Ragam, the annual cultural fest of NIT Calicut, conducts in the memory of Rajan who was killed during Emergency is scheduled to take place from March 09 to 12. The fest has spanned two decades and became India's finest and Kerala's foremost festival undoubtedly. It's a complete blend of music, literature, fine arts, dance and dramatics and a dozen other events. Through its innovative events Ragam fetches innate finesse in the talented buds. Ragam has a perfect unique style giving some unforgotten memories to those who arepart of the fest. 
The festival has seen many world class musicians and band performance like KK, Naresh Iyer( both on 2010)Shankar Mahadevan(2009), Shaan(2007), Karthik(2008), Balabhaskar(2006), Benny Dayal(2009), Parikarma(2006), Silkroute(2006), Motherjane(2005), Higher on Maiden(2010), Breathe The Floyd (2009)and much more.
Ragam 11- Worth It's Wait In Gold
This time on the 50th jubilee of NIT Calicut Ragam assures ultimate fun and entertainment never sees before. As every Ragam has its uniqueness Ragam 11 promises to be more glorious. The exclusive event of the show apart from Ragam proshow will be the Mr and Mrs Ragam contest. Also the price amounts will have a hike in it. A dozen other events like Fashion show, Choreo Nites, Amplified, tantalizing literary and debating events like 'What is the good word', JAM, Mock press, Creative writing etc, art oriented events demanding more than paints and brushes, will also keep Ragam atop.
Ragam was always glittered by the shows of famous musicians and bands. This year the things are getting much better, hotter, glorier. The young sensational, India's youth icon Sunidhi Chauhan's musical night on 11th march,with her benchmark performances will be the hottest show in the Ragam 11. The previous night is going to an unforgettable event with the magical performance by Jai Ho team comprising of Stephen Devassy, the pianist, Suvi Suresh and Vijay Prakash, the singers, Blaaze, the rap artist who were behind the creation of the Grammy Award winning A R Rahman Song Jai Ho. Not just that, Performance by the famous Indian rock band Junkyard Groove will be feather in Ragam11's crown. Also the performance by the DNA RODs the bike stunt team will be doing their shows in the Ragam11.
Apart from the events and Proshows Ragam11 ensures to give you a chance to be a part of the workshops give strong foundation of one's vested interests and keep their flames of passion ever glowing in areas of art, literature, dance, music and even dramatics. We have Salsa workshops for couples,kite flying to entertain and better equip the crowd.
