Well performed Srilanka has raced into the semifinal with the strong bowling and static batting by the Srilankan openers T M Dilshan and W U Tharanga who stood fearless before the England bowling attack. Both Dilshan and Tharanka pierced the English bowlers to rush to the semifinal to clash with New Zealand. T M Dilshan was declared as the man of the match who scored 108 of 115 balls.Tharanka also remained unbeaten at 108.

It was a visual treat for the Srilankan fans to watch their team win the match in their soil. The bitter performance by the English batsmen had paid the price for their loss in the quarter final. The winning run can in less than 40 overs. Dilshan along with Tharanga had powered Srilanka to win the match. Srilnka won the match with out loosing any wickets as all the 10 fearless batsmen were safe in their seats.
