It is finally the Sri Lanka Team who has entered in to the finals of ICC World Cup 2011. This is the consecutive time they are entering in the finals of ICC World Cup 2011. Sri Lanka will face India or Pakistan in the finals of ICC World Cup 2011. It was a convincing win for Sri Lanka over the New Zealand Team whom they bowled out for just 217 runs. Bowlers of Sri Lanka like Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis, Muthayya Muralidharan and Rangana Herath bowled really well. This will be Murali's last World Cup game from home and he finished it in a grand style.

New Zealand hardly put up this score because of the sweating efforts of Scott Styris, Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill. Styris took 57 runs, Guptill 39 runs and Ross Taylor just 36 runs. All other batsmen in the side were washed out from the Lanka bowling attack. While chasing the score, Sri Lanka was very careful. Even though they lost Upul Tharanga early, Dishan and Sangakkara paced the innings well and lead to a good win against the New Zealand black cats. Angelo Mathhews and Thilan Samaraveera finished the match with their final touch. And the thing to be noted here is that ICC World Cup 2011 is going to witness a final match between two Asian teams with Sri Lanka on one side and India or Pakistan on other side.
