Every year April 14 is observed as Ambedkar Jayanthi. Remember that April 14 is a public holiday which is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who was a famous politician as well as the first law minister of India. It is important to note that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is the Father of Indian constitution. He was born on April 14 1891 at Mhow situated in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh in India. But now the name of Mhow is Dr. Ambedkar Nagar. His parents were Ramji & Bhimabai Sakpal Ambavedkar. It is important to note that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is also known as Dr B. R. Ambedkar & the full form is Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Babasaheb was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1990, which is India's highest civilian award. He passed away on 6 December 1956.
