Malayalam film industry always produced very talented actors and good films. The year 2010 was very good for some of the actors but for others it was a forgettable year.
Year 2011 already seen some good releases like traffic, urumi, christian brothers etc.. They are doing good at box office.

Malayalam Film 2011
Mohanlal
Mohanlal had a quit forgettable 2010 having only one hit in his account of "Shikkar". And 2010 also saw a biggest flop of 2010 with much hyped movie "Kandahar" of Mohanlal.
Though Mohanlal did a great come back in 2011 with 'Christian Brothers', This movie is still ruling the box office. Recently released China Town also well received by audience. After a great start with 'Christian brothers' and 'China Town'm Mohanlal will surly looking to steal the show in 2011, with some big budget films are lining up under his pocket like 'Casinovva, Arabium Ottakavum Pinne Madavan Nayarum, Pranayum ...".
Mammootty
Mammootty had a good 2010 with super hits like "Pokkiriraja, Best actor, Pranchieettan and the siant " and he tasted flops with "Drona " and an average "Pramaani".
However mammootty started with 2011 in a disappointing note. Much expected "August 15" has failed in box office, also his next movie "Doubles" released with much negative reviews. Mammootty will be hoping to get his act together with good number of releases in 2011 like "The Train, Shikari, 1993 Bombay March 12, Mathilukalkappuram ..."
Prithviraj
Prithviraj had one of the most forgettable year 2010 with all his much hyped movies "Anwar,Thanthonni, The Thriller, Raavanan" did not click in box office. Had only one hit "Pokkiri raja".
However Prithviraj had come back with a bang in 2011 with well received "Arjunansakshi" and with big budget film "Urumi", which got much appreciation from reviewers and also well received in box office.
Surely Prithviraj will be hoping to continue his good run in 2011 with movies like "Teja Bhai & Family, Mallu Singh, City of God..."
Dileep
The real hero of 2010 was Dileep. What ever he touches become gold. Almost all the films "Body guard, Paapi appacha, kaaryasthan, Marykkundoru Kunjaadu" of 2010 was a winner at box office, though 'aagathan' did not do well at box office.
He started 2011 with winning note with multi starer films like "Christian brothers, China town". Dileep will be happy to continue his dream run in 2011 also with a good number of movies "Mr Marumakan, Orma matharam, Ithaano Karyam, Filma star " under his belt.
Suresh Gopi
Suresh gopi will be very keen to forget the past year as nothing was there for him to remember. All most all the movies "Sahasram, sadgamaya, Kanyakumari express, Ringtone, Rama raavanan" bombed at 2010 box office.
He will be keen to start with a good note in 2011 after a successful multi starer "christain Brothers" with upcoming movies "Collector, Ekadhasy, Judgement day, Achayan, The king and commissioner".
Jayaram
Jayaram caught the audience attention in 2010 with well received movies like "Katha thudarunnu, Happy husbands", however "four friends" was literally bombed at the box office.
Also had a good start in 2011 with movies "Kudumba sree travels and makeup man" along with multi starer "China town".
He would love to repeat his magics of 2010 in 2011 also with some of the quality movies "Santhushta kudambam, seniors, Kudumba nathan..."
Asif ali
Asif ali caught the attention from his debut movie "Ritu"m Good that he continued his good work in 2010 with less but well recieved movies like "Traffic, Apporvaragam, Kadha thudarunnu".
He started 2011 with "Ithu nammude katha" though the movie did not clicked at box office.
He also would like to cement his place in Malayalam movies with good number of releases "Violin, salt & Peper, Sevens" getting ready under his belt in 2011.
Kunchakko Boban
With super hit "Elsamma enna aankuttym, Mummy & me" kunchakko boban once again proved what he is capable of, though his other movies "Oridathoru postman, four friends " did not do well at box office.
In 2011 he had a great start with "Traffic" though "Race" did not do well. Movies like "Three kings, seniors, sevens" are his upcoming movies.
Also youngsters like Jayasurya, Nishan ... keen to make their presence in 2011 also...
