Mahathma Gandhi University started registration for the year of 2011 for admission to various degree courses in various colleges under the University. Candidates who seeking admission in M.G. University for various degree courses can register their name for the Centralised Allotment Program. Here we give you the complete instructions and steps to Applying for CAP.

How to Apply for Centralised Allotment Program 2011 in M.G. University for Admission to Degreee courses
1. First you have to create an Account with the official website. For this follow the below steps.
a.Go to the address http://www.cap.mgu.ac.in/account.jsp which will lead you to the Account Creation Page. b.Enter the required details in the page. Select your category(General, if not under any reserved category)
c. Please confirm that all the details entered are correct, you cannot reedit the account details except your password once you submit it .
d. Submit the Application, you will get an Application number, keep this number with you which will be used for future login to the site.
2. After creating an account, the next step is the Fee payment.
a. Take a print out of the fee payment challan generated for you. Please make sure that all the details appeared on the challan are correct. If any of them found to be wrong, please make another account with correct details.
b. Pay the application fee (Rs.105/) in any of the selected branch of SBT. Collect the sealed student copy and University copy of the Fee Challan from the bank.
3. Now, you can Apply for Centralised Allotment Program.
a. Login with your application number and password which you got when you created an account.
b. If you already remitted the fee, you will be able to view the Personal details Page.
c. Enter your personal and academic details there.
d. Once you are done, click the 'Save and Next' Button.
4. Now you will direct to the Option registration Page.
a. Submit your options to degree courses by selecting the college and course.
b. You can apply for more than one option, for this click on 'Add one more option'
c. When you are done, click the 'Save Options'
5. Now, you are in the Final Submission page, all the details you entered along with the Options you submitted will be listed in this page. Correct any details if found to be wrong. Make sure that all of them are true and you provided the correct information. If you are sure that all the entries are correct, click on 'Submit Your Application' button. Only now your application to the Centralised Allotment Process is registered in the System.
Now, you finally, submit your application. You can save a copy of your application by select 'File->Save Page As' option in the browser. You can take a print out of the form which have to be send to the M.G. University.
Sign the Application by the applicant and Parent. Send the signed application along with university's copy of challan and the necessary documents to the below address by post.

a. University copy of the Pay in Slip in proof of fee remitted in the bank.
b. Self Attested Copy of Certificate in proof of date of birth.
c. Self Attested Copy of Certificate in proof of Caste / Community if applicable .
d. Self Attested Copy of Mark lists of all parts of the Qualifying examination.
e. Self Attested Copy of NCC/NSS Certificate, if applicable.
f. Self Attested Copy of Certificate to prove applicant as dependant of Ex service men/Jawan etc if applicable
g. Self Attested Copy of Income Certificate/Non creamy layer Certificate if applicable
Important Dates for Registration
The Centralised ALlotment Program Registration will close on June 3. So students who are looking for degreee courses in M.G.University, please register their name before the last date June 3, 2011.
Important Instructions while Applying for Centralised Allotment Process 2011
After submission of your application, you can't edit any of the information you were provided. So verify all the data before submitting your application. The students can apply to more than 126 colleges which offers Degree courses like B.A, B.Sc and B.Com. The students have been requested to refrain from creating more than one application. The students can submit up to 100 options through a single application.
Date of Trial Allotment for M.G.University Admission Program 2011
A trial round of Allotment will be held on June 9 to get an idea of the chances of getting admission to specific courses based on the options they registered.
Date of First and Second Round of Allotment to M.G. University Degree Admission 2011
According to the official release, the first and second round of allotment will be conducted on June 14 and June 22 respectively.
Date of commencement of classes for Under-graduate courses
Start date of classes to degree courses in the year of 2011 is June 27.
