Walking beneath the tamarind trees through rajpath of NITc!
This article just gives a brief description of starting of my college life in NITc with lots of dreams and aims to be an architect.It also explains deeply the culture and facilities of NITc briefly and the starting trouble of a student to adjust with the change of school to college life.

It was on a pleasant morning that I came to know the results of AIEEE has been published.I ran to my system to check that and for my shock I found that I had a rank of 2099 and had a scope of getting in NIT Calicut.Then started my tensed days.I did not get in NIT for the first allotment but second allotment did give me a chance.
Finally I placed my right leg in Nit c. A world of unknown things and a place which was extremely strange for me.I felt like every leaves were diffrent, even the birds sang a different song.Within days I got adjusted with the environment.
I was really astonished by seeing the department.It was really beautiful.Not only that, whole NIT looked quiet pretty.Its entrance through raj path, the trees on both sides,the admin block, even the single stones looked much beautiful. We,the whole first years were eager to know much about the college.
Then came the most awaited event.TATHVA,10.
It did give a blast in whole city.It was one of the most wonderful Tathva that NIT has seen.It was filled with pro shows, robotic events and many more.I guess I cant explain this through my words.If any one do wanna witness this, be in NIT on October 21-23 ,2011
Then came our series tests and semester exams.Was really tensed about results.As I thought I luckily got two arrears which is still a hidden secret from my parents.
Even though it was vacation time for us in December I was really eager for the classes to begin ,that is semester 2.
Days passed by chit chats ,fights, quarrels and hectic restrictions for the first years.We were really jealous about our seniors that they were allowed to go anywhere.Later we understood the reason behind that.Let it remain as a secret over here.
It was our misconception to think that Tathva was the biggest event over here.It was ultimately RAGAM.
It was an explosion.We witnessed the stage show of Sunidhi Chauhan,Stephen Devassya and the JAI HO team. It was a grand cultural fest with the title,"WORTH IT'S WAIT IN GOLD"
Now we are just finished with our first year exams.To think about first year,it was really awesome with small raging issues ,tempting seniors, our little naughtiness and so on.
And now we the first years, oops I mean second years are really waiting for the arrival of the first years, to meet and receive them.Sigh!

Its nice that you said about our college. I know how you could have limited your experiences to 3 or 4 paragraphs. Being classmates Shadia and i have shared lots of happy moments together in our 1st year b.arch classrooms,studios and labs.
I think we are really lucky to study in such an institution where huge exposure is obtained along with good quality education.
Being completed 1st year, i could say that we never had sat idly even for a day.Day starts with friendly talks,laughs,running for class just before 5 minutes for the start of class.Inside the Architecture department we had classes where qualified professors taught us and studios where we shared the experiences of best friendships and labs with the best facilities one could ever get. Evening were the time of activities which included informative talks,workshops,orientation programs of various events such as tathva,ragam and a 100 other events,entertainment programs,branchwise competitions and the list goes on.
I was really doubtful while taking the architecture course as i aspired becoming an engineer like my parents but after coming to NITC i felt that this is my field.
Architecture is the branch where the students share great selfless friendships and we branch mates(includes seniors)are like a huge family.
Being completed the 1st year, I'm really looking forward to the coming days,the subjects I've to study and the experiences I'm about to get in the coming semesters.
I'm proud to be a part of NITC.
