Ingredients needed to make Pazha Pradhaman
4 ripe bananas
300-500 gms jaggery
2 coconuts, grated
1 ½ tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp chopped coconut pieces
10 cashew nuts

Firstly, pour half a cup of boiling water over the grated coconut and grind it well. Extract the coconut milk by pressing it out over a sieve. Repeat this twice with two cups of water each time. Keep the milk separate. Melt jaggery in half cup water, strain and set aside. Peel and steam the bananas for 10 minutes. De-seed them and mash it well. Heat ghee, add the bananas and jaggery and cook to a soft ball consistency. Add the last extracted coconut milk, boil and cook down to half the original volume. Repeat with the remaining thin coconut milk. Finally, add the thick coconut milk and boil for 5 minutes. Sprinkle cardamom powder and garnish with fried cashew nuts and chopped coconut pieces. Serve hot.
