The latest news regarding Soorya Krishnamoorthy is that he was appointed as the Chairman of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademy. It should be noted that the Kerala Snageetha Nataka Academy was established in the year 26 April 1958 & is located in Thrissur district of Kerala. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was the Prime Minister of India at that time, inaugurated this Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. Actually this akademi was formed for the development of music, dance as well as drama. The important activities of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy includes publication of books related to music, dance & drama. Remember that these music, dance & drama are considered as important arts of Kerala. So these akademi plays an important role for the development of these arts in our country. The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy is working in collaboration with the Central Sangeetha Nataka Academy located in New Delhi.
