Malayalam Cinema does need a change
Today the big problem the Malayalam film industry faces that the missing of good stories. Now a days it seems that movie is only for money making. Other-than that our film makers should know about the art value of cinema. A good film includes well scripted story and the dedicated participation of every crew member.
Cinema is the combination of several art forms; acting, music, dances, writing etc. From several years it becomes the most popular art form throughout the world.
Film is a team work. But it is basically an art of director. The director is the one who controls the whole technical and creative section of a film. So he is considered as the all in all of a film. A creative message originated in his mind, would be developed and grown through different stages:-
Meanwhile there are three phases for developing a film- Pre-Production, Production and Post Production.
As from the beginning Malayalam film industry have a well based history and moral values. Now it's being changed. One of the big problems Malayalam industry facing is the lack of good stories. We have very talented artists and script writers. Then what is the problem. But the film makers think their audience want only super stars actions and big budget, colorful films. But it is only their imagination.
Script is the blue-print of a movie. If the script is well-explained then it is easier in the production period of a film. So script writers should be more careful and have thorough knowledge about the scripting pattern. If the director himself write the script it is better. Because then he knows very well how to build up the script to film with a movie-camera.
Every human wants entertainment. Entertainment is the part of cinema, that's right. But in the base of the film or script there should be a theme that means a well set story. That may be the challenging factor now our directors and script writers may face. Our film talents; actors, directors, script writers producer, cinematographer, editor, even a light boy can be a good part of the film. These talented people can make our cinema industry a rising art.
Malayalam films should not be made by imitating other language films trends. We should study their good values. Movie makers should be aware that Malayalam audiences are different.
