Dileep and Lal Jose are coming up together in their new Movie Spanish Masala with a foreign model in the leading heroine role. This is the first cinema in Mollywood which is shot almost 95 percent from Spain. Madrid is the main location of the movie. The rest of the scenes are taken from Cochin and Alapuzha. Lal Jose is coming back to Malayalam film industry after his super hit movie 'Elasamma Enna Ankutty'. The screen play is by Benny P Nayarambalam. Dileep, Lal Jose and Benny are reuniting back after the super hit Malayalam movie 'Chandupottu'. Lal Jose's film gives special importance for love. Like in 'Arabikatha' here also the story is giving importance to the love and troubles of two people belonging to two different nations. Spanish Masala is featuring Foreign artist Daniela in the leading heroine role . Daniela is a professional hip-hop and ballet dancer who has acted in a couple of short films and music videos. This film was earlier planned to release in November as a Dileep's Bakrid gift to Malayalis. But later decided to release as a Christmas Mega gift to Malayalis. Spanish Masala Movie Story
The main theme of the movie is a love relation between a Malayali young man with a Spanish girl. Dileeep as Charlie is doing the role of the Malayalee young man who falls in love with the Spanish girl. Charlie was a mimicry artist and his group comes to Spanish to present a show. Dileep was not satisfied with his job. This makes him to run away from his group in Spain. To have a better life, he starts searching for suitable job and last he finds a job. His talent in cooking gave him a chance to work as a chef for the Spanish ambassador. The story is taking a U turn from this moment onwards. . There he meets his boss' daughter, Kamila and falls in love with her. Kamila was boer and brought up in India. So now living in Spain, she had nostalgic memories of India. This attracted her towards Charlie. The later story is telling the love between them, showing the depth in their relation and the difficulties faces by them to get married.
