Motorola's latest smartphone Motorola Droid RAZR will be launched in Kerala this month. It was announced in October in the United States and was launched there on 10th November with Droid Brood, another smartphone from Motorola.

Features and Specifications of Motorola Droid RAZR

The Motorola Droid DAZR is coming with a 4.3 inch touchscreen display, covered in Gorilla glass. It measures 131×69×7.1 mm and weighs about 130 grams. The phone is the thinnest smartphone in the world at only 7.1 mm thick at its thinnest point. It has a 'bump' on top 11.1 mm thick.

The Droid Razr is powered with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. It has a high quality Super AMOLED Advanced screen. The Droid Razr comes with the slightly older build of Gingerbread Android 2.3.5 operating system. But it can be updated to the Ice Cream Sandwich OS, that makes it among the first to get the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The Droid RAZR has a 8 megapixel rear camera that can record 1080p HD videos.The phone has also got a 1.3 megapixel front camera that can shoot 720p HD videos. The cameras have LED Flash. The Droid Razor's back cover is made of Kevlar, which is used to make bullet proof equipments and all. Hence the phone will be water proof.

The Droid RAZR has a RAM of 1 GB DDR2. The internal memory is upto16 GB with a 16 GB micro-SD Card pre-installed. The RAZR has been facilitated with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Version 4.0 LE+EDR and DLNA connectivity. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack with it. The media playes supports WAV, H.264, AMR WB, WMA9, AAC,MPEG-4, H.263, WMA10, AMR NB, eAAC+ , AAC+, MP3, WMA v9 and MIDI formats.

The phone has got Internet radio. Also HDMI technology used for mirror mode and USB 2.0HS, micro-SD Card slot are installed in it. This smartphone has also got a GPS, eCompass, sGPS and GLONASS sensors with it. The Li-on Battery is of 1780 mAH. It allows a talk time span upto around 12.5 hours. The stand by battery life is upto 13 days.

The Droid Razr has also got some unique features. It contains Smart Actions app that helps the user to conserve power and maximize each charge. It also includes an app named MotoCast that allows to stream or download files from the computers to the phone remotely. The Mobile HotSpot which helps to tether up to 8 other devices on 4G, or 5G on 3G to this phone is another speciality.

Availability and Price of Motorola Droid RAZR in Kerala

The phone was launched in the United States on November 11th, 2011 at 11:11 am for extra publicity. The phone is expected to be launched in India on the 18th November in Metro cities. The phone will reach Kerala markets in early December. The phone will be priced around Rs. 34,000.
