After the not-so-well performance of the movie Kaanakkanmani, director Akku Akbar is coming with his new flick. This time he is teaming up with popular star Dileep for the first time in the movie named Vellaripravinte Changathi (friend of pigeon). Jayaram was the hero in his former films. Vellaripravinte Changathi tells the story of film in the film. It takes the audience back to the 1970s. Recently released Jayaraj film Nayika was also that kind of film. Kavya Madhavan is the female lead of Vellaripravinte Changathi. The film was originally titled Ithano Vallya Karyam and later went for a change. In the film, Dileep appears in different getup altogether with pencil moustache like Prem Nazir and all.

Vellaripravinte Changathi Story and Cast

Vellaripravinte Changathi features a 'cinema within cinema' pattern. The film commences with the discovery of a print of a film made in 1966. It was directed by a man named Augustine Joseph. The movie is named 'Vellaripravinte Changathi'. It featured newcomers. The story was based on the romance between Ravi and Sulekha who belong to different castes. Due to the financial problems Augustin Joseph commits suicide and the movie doesn't find light.

Almost four decades later, a veteran still photographer named Varikkoli Master who comes to narrate the incidents accompanied the making of the movie. It is known that the names of the actors who portrayed Ravi and Sulekha are Shajahan and Mary and they were in love in real life also. It is the son of Augustine Joseph who rediscovers the only print of the movie left and he determines to release the movie in 2012. It is also an investigation of the incidents happened long ago.

Dileep and Kavya Madhavan plays Shajahan and Mary. Manoj K Jayan comes in a role that reminds of yesteryear hero Sathyan. Sai Kumar portrays the role of Varikkoli master. Indrajith, Lal, Salim Kumar, Nedumudi venu, Lalu Alex, Vijayaraghavan, Maniyanpilla Raju and Seenath are the other major actors.
The film is scripted by GS Anil who has penned scripts for many TV Serials. The film's main locations are Ernakulam and Pollachi. Produced by Arun Ghosh and Bijoy, the film is expected to hit the screen during Christmas season.
