Here I am giving you the recipe of a typical Kerala dish that is a combination of both veg and non-veg ingredients which include eggs, carrots, green peas and tomato in a suitable combination. Hence Green peas-Egg chilli will definitely be accepted by non-veg food lovers.
Ingredients
Green peas-300g
Eggs-4
Chilli powder-1 tablespoon
Fried coriander powder-2 tablespoon
Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1/2-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Finely chopped onion-1 cup
Green chillies split into two- 3 or 4
Ginger-garlic paste-1tsp
Tomato chopped-2
Carrot grated-2
Coconut oil-2 tablespoon
Curry leaves-As needed
Coriander leaves-to garnish
Salt to taste
How to prepare:
Soak green peas for 8 hours and cook it by adding turmeric powder and salt.
Add chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, garam masala and let it to boil.
Add chopped onion, tomato, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, carrot, curry leaves and oil.Cook it for 5-7 minutes. Add a little water if necessary.
Reduce the flame and add eggs to it. Stir it well till eggs are fully mixed and well cooked.
Add coriander leaves and remove from flame. Green peas egg chilli is a variety egg dish that goes well with Appam, Idiyappam and Chappathi.
