Green Peas-Egg chilli Kerala style recipe


Here I am giving you the recipe of a typical Kerala dish that is a combination of both veg and non-veg ingredients which include eggs, carrots, green peas and tomato in a suitable combination. Hence Green peas-Egg chilli will definitely be accepted by non-veg food lovers.

Ingredients


  • Green peas-300g
  • Eggs-4
  • Chilli powder-1 tablespoon
  • Fried coriander powder-2 tablespoon
  • Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder- 1/2-1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • Finely chopped onion-1 cup
  • Green chillies split into two- 3 or 4
  • Ginger-garlic paste-1tsp
  • Tomato chopped-2
  • Carrot grated-2
  • Coconut oil-2 tablespoon
  • Curry leaves-As needed
  • Coriander leaves-to garnish
  • Salt to taste

    How to prepare:


  • Soak green peas for 8 hours and cook it by adding turmeric powder and salt.
  • Add chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, garam masala and let it to boil.
  • Add chopped onion, tomato, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, carrot, curry leaves and oil.Cook it for 5-7 minutes. Add a little water if necessary.
  • Reduce the flame and add eggs to it. Stir it well till eggs are fully mixed and well cooked.
  • Add coriander leaves and remove from flame.

    Green peas egg chilli is a variety egg dish that goes well with Appam, Idiyappam and Chappathi.
