'Traffic' director Rajesh Pillai's next movie - Prithviraj and Kunchako Boban in lead


According to latest reports, Prithviraj and Kunchako Boban will be playing the lead roles of Rajesh Pillai's next movie. Fahad Fazil, Asif Ali and Anoop Menon also expected to act in the film. The movie will be scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan. Read more below.

What if a group of Malayalam cinema's new generation heartthrobs are uniting on big screen ? The fans can expect nothing short of a blockbuster. Rajesh Pillai, the director of the much acclaimed and megahit movie Traffic, is reportedly planning to arrange such a visual treat. According to latest reports, Rajesh's next film will be based on the script of Shankar Ramakrishnan. The biggest attraction of the project will be the presence of Prithviraj, Kunchacko Boban, Fahad Fazil, Anoop Menon and Asif Ali. Kunchako Boban and Prithviraj will be handling the lead roles, while others are supposed to play supporting roles, as reported. To wonder, despite the presence of these chocolate boys, the film is still a female oriented subject.

It was earlier reported that the next movie of Rajesh Pillai will be based on the screenplay of Anoop Menon. However, the project has been postponed for a while owing to some technical reasons. But it is reported that the forsaid project will be rolling on by the end of the current year itself.

Shankar Ramakrishnan, who raised to fame directing the short film Island Express of the Kerala Cafe anthology, will be writing for Rajesh Pillai for the first time. Shankar Ramakrishnan gained more popularity as the scriptwriter of the periodic movie Urumi directed by Santosh Sivan. The film was also the opening film of Indian Panorama section of International Film Festival of India. Now he is all set to make debut as a lead actor through the Ranjith movie 'Leela- The never ending play'. He is also working as an associate of Ranjith.

The shooting of the film is expected to start soon. The movie is being planned as an Onam release. Delhi, Bangalore and a few foreign countries have been decided as the shooting locations. The heroine of the movie has not been fixed yet. But the news coming out says that the movie will feature a Superstar in South Indian Cinema, which is not confirmed. The full cast has not been finalised either.
