Kallante Kadha is a malayalam movie directed by Babu Janardhanan.The theme of the film is all about a thief. Jayasurya will be in lead role. The film will be a milestone in Jayasurya's film career. Scripted and directed by Babu Janardhanan,the movie will stage real life story of a real thief.

Babu Janardhanan will direct Jayasuriya in a new film titled Kallante Kadha. The film is supposed to be a real life story and will be based on the book "Thaskaran Maniyan Pillayude Aathmakadha". The film will have Jayasuriya playing a thief for the first time in his career. The film will have him doing the role of a thief who is skilled at acquainting himself from the court cases file against him by the police. The movie promises to be a thinking, over with some new and new ideas about how thieves plans to escape the hands of police and court.

As film that had come before and that was similar in this concept was Jayaram – Shobhana starrer superman which was a super hit movie. The film being a hit had much to do with the concept of the film which was liked by the audiences totally. Now Kallante Kadha will have similar story outline of how a thief escapers from the police and court. Similarities are also being drawn to the films like Meesamadhavan where Dileep played a full time villain. In fact it is that film which established Dileep as a main stream actor in Malayalam. Jayasuriya would be banging his hopes oh Kallante Kadha being a Meesamadhavan for him.

Jayasuriya is busy in 2012 with so high profile projects like Pathiramanal ,Vaadhyaar and Ardhanareeshwaran. Between this tight schedule, Jayasuriya have given tatkal dates to Babu Janardhanan hearing the theme of the story.

Jayasuriya did not want this film to go from his hands as the story was too compelling to leave out. Babu Janardhanan will also do the script for the film along with the direction. The shooting for hr fiol will start this year after Babu Janardhanan finishes his pending woks. Babu Janardhanan is busy directing Bakthi Prasthanam and the script writing for Vazhve Maayam and Pathiramanal.

The film will be a mark up in the career of Jayasuriya. Babu Janardhanan has directed the film Bombay march 12 which had Mamootty playing the central character. The film was critically acclaimed as one of the best movie since 2011.
