It's been long since the fans started waiting for Megastar Mammootty's bilingual film Shikkari. Ending the anticipation, Shikkari is coming. The film is made in Kannada and Malayalam what marks the Kannada debut of Mammootty. Kannada was the only South Indian language that hadn't witnessed the acting skills of Mammootty. The film is written and directed by Sandalwood's famous film maker Abhay Simha. He had been convinced that Mammootty was the perfect person to the title role. Poonam Bajwa is the female lead. The film will be the Malayalam debut of director Abhay Simha and music director V Harikrishna as well. The movie appears to be more special since both Mammooty and Poonam Bajwa are playing double roles, set in two different periods.

Story and Cast

The story is set in two periods. It revolves around the life of a software engineer named Abhijit. He happens to come across a novel called Shikari. The book tells a love story between and Indian man and British woman set in the pre-Independence era. Abhijit falls in love with the woman character and gets frustrated finding the last pages of the book are not there. The journey of him to trace the origin of the book forms rest of the movie. Both the lead actors play two characters each. Aditya, Innocent, Tini Tom, Suresh Krishna, Achyth Kumar, Neenasam Ashwath and Sharat Lohitashwa are other important actors.

Director himself has written the screenplay. Santhosh Easwer wrote the Malayalam dialogues. Shikkari will hit the theatres on 24th February.
