After the delicious Salt N Pepper, director Aashiq Abu is coming with his latest flick 22 Female Kottayam. Like the title, the movie is also expected to be different.
Aashiq Abu, who gave Malayalees new tastebuds of cinema with Salt N Pepper, has been riding high with the success of the film. If it was a love story covered within the tastebuds in the earlier one, now he is handling a socially important subject in the latest flick.
Fahad Fazil and Rima Kallingal are playing the lead characters in the 22 Female Kottayam. Earlier they had shared the screen in Mrityunjayam, one of the ten short films of the anthology Kerala Cafe.
22 Female Kottayam' tells the story of relationship between two friends named Tessa Abraham and Cyril C Mathew. Tessa is a nursing student from Kottayam studying in Bangalore. The problems she faces there and her relation with Cyril are told in the movie. The heat of revenge and vengeance fill the film. Fahad portrays the role of Cyril and Tessa is played by Rima. The star cast also includes Riya, Prathap Pothan, Sathar and TG Ravi.
The film is scripted by Syam Pushkaran and Abhlash S Kumar. Shyju Khalid is the cinematographer. The music is composed by Rex Vijayan. The film is produced by OG Sunil under the banner Film Brewery.
The promo videos of the movie have already grabbed the attention and are going viral on internet. The movie is set to hit the theatres on 13th April as Vishu release.
