Friday is an upcoming Malayalam film directed by the new face in Malayalam direction Lijin Jose. Youth icon of the year Fahad Fazil, Tournament fame Manu, and Ann Augustine handle the lead role of this film. Sandhra Thomas and Thomas Joseph Pattathanam have produced this film under the banner Innovative film concept. Screen play and dialogues are penned by the script writer Najeem Koya. Roby Abraham has scored the music on the lines of Beeyar Prasad. Nedumudi Venu, Vijaya Raghavan, Tini Tom, Prakash Bare, Asha Sharath have gives life for other major roles of this film.
The movie tells six individual stories, which are knowingly or unknowingly related to each other by the incident occur on the Friday 11-11-11. The film focus upon the people of Kuttanadu, who are depended on boat service for their daily routines.The film consists of about 48 characters that all are popular in Malayalam film industry. The TV serial artist Asha Sharath also played an important role in this film. People of Kerala are familiar with her very much through the leading serial in Asianet Kunkumapoovu. She has played the character of Professor Jayanthi in that serial. Hope her entry in to film will be a grant success as in the success of serials. The new face Manu also played an important role in this film. Manu entered into Mollywood through the film tournament along with Fahad Fazil. This is the second joining of them. The first movie did not give much appreciation for the young actor, but we can hope that Friday will provide a notable character for him and thus to hold his foot strong in Mollywood. Purushothaman and his family come to Alappuzha town on a Friday for buying the jewels and other necessary items for marriage with their daughter. An incident happens in the midst of their purchase. Auto driver Krishna Balu comes to help them on these unexpected problems they faced. Both the Purushothamn and Krishna balu have provided the explanation for this incident to C I Musthafa. Krishna Balu has reprised it very nicely. However, on that day, problems arise not only in the life of Purushothaman and family but also the life of others who have come to the town of that day for various purposes. The film tells the problems occurred within the life of people on a Friday. Fahad Fazil gives life for the character Krishna Balu, while Nedumudi Venu plays the role Purushothaman. The shooting for the film is being carried out mainly on Alappuzha district and nearly places which is almost completed and it is likely to release on the third week of May. It is a very tough situation for this film because lots of films are released on the same week. Hope this film overcomes all the others and reaches a box-office hit, and it will provide a gold feather in the cap of Fahad Fazil.
