Aakashathinte Niram reflects the real colour of life through the experience faced by a young man. A 60 year old man was lived in island which is isolated from other parts. He often came to nearby harbour in a motor boat to sell handicrafts. A young burglar who had noticed him, one day jumped in to the boat and demanded money from the old man. The old man sits calm and ran boat towards the island. The burglar was trapped on the boat and compelled to live with them on the island. He meets a 7-year-old boy, a 20-year-old deaf and dumb woman and a middle-aged man with a stammer who were living with the old man. The shooting of the film was mainly carried out in a beautiful island named Neil located 40 Kilometers to the south of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in bay of Bengal.
