Story of the film Prabhuvinte makkal mainly revolves around son's of Prabhu. Prabhu has two sons and both of them have different view points. One of them is spiritual while other one is atheist. The film portrays the adventurous and eventful journey of Sidharthan for finding the ultimate truth in life. Sidhartan is a rich man and the son of Prabhu. He has believes that he can gain divinity through practicing Yoga. The protagonist Sidharthan has started his journey during his college days in 80's by leaving loving father, an elder brother and his loving friend. He has roved along Himalayan valley and Hrishikesh and Ganga banks in searching of the ultimate truth. He has get much experience from the journey and returned home after decades. When he has reached the home he has seen so much changes in Socio- political scenario in state even in his house. This gives rude shock for Sidharthan. The film also portrays vivid pictures of Kerala during 80s and its gradual change to present. The role of Sidharthan has been handled by Vinay fortt while Madhu had done the character of his father.
