Spirit malayalam movie tells a story about a person who does not stick to any jobs in his life and is addicted to alcohol badly. The movie is one of the best Renjith film in malayalam and discusses various social issues of our society. Spirit was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Films.

The Mohanlal’s new film Spirit was released in more than 110 theaters inside and outside Kerala. The theater reports from various theaters point out that it is one of the best film directed by Ranjith. As usually the script does not tower over the actors in the movie Spirit. On the contrary, it is the actor who amazes us time and again in 'Spirit' as Mohanlal delivers a top notch performance being a man who remains plastered for a greater part of his waking time. Spirit point out the realistic life of person in our society. Mohanlal has done the role of ex-banker Raghunathan in the movie spirit. Spirit will be one of the best movie of Mohanlal in last 10 years. The director Renjith once said "there are no limitations for Mohanlal, as he can do any type of roles, but for other actors, there should be some kind of limitations in their talents". The movie Spirit proves that the words of Renjith is true.

It is not just an entertaining movie, instead it discuss various social problems that Kerala society is going through. The film tells the story of an ex-bank employee Raghunathan who resigned his job worried about the nature of his work. He then works in many banks across the world and at some situation he was decided to return back to India. he chose journalism as his career and works as a journalist in various metropolitan cites in India. But as usual he was again resigned his journalist job and started to write English novels as new career. Raghunathan being a loner loves his pegs and do have a collection of expensive who lives next door with his daughter Meera. She was looking beautiful and strangely she was once married to Raghunathan. Meera was bold enough to guide Raghunathan from his uncontrolled living pattern. Ultimately she changed his life to a comfortable and meaningful life with new hopes.

Initial responses about Spirit

The best place to know the opinion of people about the movie is social networking sites. The initial day responses of viewers in face book was good. Spirit was produced at comparatively a low budget with superstar Mohanlal. The film goes through satirical humor and brilliant dialogs. The role of Raghunathan was handled by Mohanlal who brilliantly performed the role of a person who regularly using alcohols in his life. Madhu as captain Nambiar and Thilakan as work contractor adds more colours to the movie. In addition to these actors, the film is rich with the presence of many Malayalam artists like, Suraj Venjaramood, Sidharth Bharathan, Tiny Tom, Niyaz, T.P.Madhavan and Kalpana etc. The movie Spirit is completely a good entertainer in all aspects.
