Urvashi - Manoj K Jayan again in legal fight for their daughter Thejalakshmy

Actress Urvashi and Manoj K Jayan had legally divorced in 2008 after their long married life. From then till now they were legally fighting for their 12 year old daughter Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta). After their legal separation, the High Court handed over their daughter Thejalakshmy to Manoj K Jayan under the condition that Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta)should be sent with her mother on Friday's and Saturday's from 11 AM to 4 PM. Before that Thejalakshmy was allowed to live with her mother during her vacation. Manoj filed a stay against the order after which Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta)was handed over to Manoj.

As per the Court order Urvashi landed at the Court Council on Friday 6th July 2012 to take away her daughter. Manoj K Jayan had also brought Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta)before the Court on Friday. Things became worse on Friday when Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta)refused to go with her mother and submitted before the court that she did not wish to go with her mother Urvashi since Urvashi was drunk. She told that she was afraid to go with her mother. She also added that she has never seen her father in a drunken state, but her mother was always in drunken state.

Manoj K Jayan also accused Urvashi of being drunk, when she appeared before the Court on Friday. He got it to the notice of the court through his Council Sangeetha Lakshmana. So he didn't wanted to send his daughter Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta) with Urvashi. Manoj K Jayan accused Urvashi to be an alcohol addict. This surely provoked Urvashi that she has filed a legal notice against her ex-husband Manoj K Jayan. She added that her daughter has been trained by him to speak against her and that Thaja did not say it by her own.

Urvashi and her advocate said that she has undergone a surgery an year back and she is just recovering from it. She is still under medical treatment so she can't have such things at this time. She added that Manoj K Jayan is talking nonsense about her which does not make any sense, since he wanted to separate her daughter from her. She also said that he is still having ego problems that Urvashi is a lead actress while Manoj K Jayan still remains a side hero. She told that at least he must have respected her as a woman.

The matter took them to the chamber of the judge N. Leleamani, where the court was convinced that Urvashi was drunk and Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta) was handed over to Manoj K Jayan. The court asked Manoj K Jayan to bring back their daughter again on Saturday to handover to Urvashi. Manoj K Jayan told that he will not be bringing her daughter on Saturday again. Urvashi and her Council was really upset with the court's decision. They said that Urvashi was already very weak as she has been under treatment from the past two years. Urvashi told that she is ready for a medical checkup in order to prove that she's not drunk. She told that she had reached at Nedunbaserry airport by 7:30 AM straight from Chennai. From there she directly reached the court to collect her daughter Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta).

After that Urvashi appeared before the press outside the courtroom, she wasn't looking as if she was drunk and was perfectly under control. Urvashi has filed a legal notice asking Manoj K Jayan to apologize for what he said otherwise he will have to face its consequences legally.

Manoj K Jayan and Urvashi got married after a long love relationship. Things were fine and they were blessed with a daughter named Thejalakshmy(Kunjatta). But the lovely relationship got to an end on 2008. After which Manoj K Jayan again got married to London based Malayalee Asha who is also a divorcee and living with her daughter Sreya. The two children Thejalakshmy and Sreya are happy with Manoj and Asha whereas Urvashi still remains single.
