1. 500 ml (2 cups) of milk
2. 1/2 cup of sugar (you must add more suger based on taste you want.)
3. 1/4 cup of unakkalari / raw rice (If you cannot find this raw rice in store better you may use some non-sticky rice for your preparation, for example you can use basmati rice which is one of the type of non sticky rice.)

Method of preparation on Paal Payasam Recipe / Rice Kheer Recipe



1. First of all, you have to include 2 cups water with the milk.
2. Next, you should boil this milk in a heavy-bottomed pan.
3. After boiling, you have to include some required sugar and simmer with that boiled milk.
4. Add the washed rice.
5. You have to cook this special recipe with low flame, stirring frequently
6. You should continue your cooking with low flame, then only the milk will get thickens and rice will be cooked very softly and nicely
7. After preparation you can serve for your family.

Suggestion for paal payasam preparation


If you want cook this paal payasam very quickly then you must include and mix all ingredients (Important condition is that you should add water) to a pressure cooker and you just leave the pressure cooker upto 2-3 whistles, then only it will cook very properly. Then you have to leave that pressure cooker upto 1 minute then pressure will leaves, then immediately open the lid. After opening you have include 2-4 tbsp of condensed milk. Then again you have to boil before removing from fire and serving. You have to add required sugar only otherwise it will get more or less sweet.
