My Boss Movie Poster
Dileep's movies can attract the family audience easily. His films have a minimum guarantee at the box office. Jithu Joseph is a young and energetic director. He made his debut with Suresh Gopi starrer crime thriller named Detective. He received much applause from the family audience for his second flick titled Mummy and Me. Thus viewers have some expectations on this movie.

Cast and Crew

Dileep act as a breezy young man in this movie. Mamtha enacts the character of a ferocious women.Sai Kumar and Sita act as the parents of the character played by Dileep. Valsala Menon plays a dazzling grandmother role. Kalabhavan Shajohn also plays an important role in this movie. Veteran actor Mukesh appears in a cameo role. The rest of the cast includes Rekha, Abu Salim and so on.

Like his earlier movies, Jithu Joseph himself has written the story and screenplay of My Boss along with direction. The movie is produced by east cost Vijayan. My Boss Movie Story

Manu Varma played by Dileep is a distinction holder. He likes the Western style and their way of living. He is aspiring to settle somewhere abroad. Meanwhile he got a job in an I.T company in Mumbai as an assistant to strict and fierce boss named Priya. On the contrary Priya, played by Mamta is an Australian citizen. The movie follows with the boss-subordinate clash. Priya wants to lead a calm and peaceful life somewhere in an ordinary village. The story took a turn when Priya demanded Manu to act as her fake husband in order to avoid certain visa problems that prevents her from staying in India. After hesitations Manu brought her to his home. The rest of the story develops through predictable lines such as romance and family harmony.

My Boss Movie Review

Dileep-Mamta combination is the spine of this film. Dileep and Mamta joins together earlier in Syamaprasad's last flick Arike. Director Jithu Joseph succeeded in capturing best performances from them. The comical narrative pattern manages to keep the audience lively till the movie ends. My boss is a typical Dileep film. Saikumar also steals the show as a cool father. Mukesh's cameo role as the boss of Mamta also deserves a special mention. Kalabhavan Shajohn had done a commendable job in this film. Combinations scenes of both Dileep and Kalabhavan Shajohn make viewers laugh.

My boss is a stereotype movie. Certain stereotypical images are repeating through this film such as cockroach, Mango and sari etc. It has nothing much to offer apart from some brilliant performances. The story of the movie progress in a usual way and it also ends in a predictable manner. Certain scenes in the movie have no logic at all. It resembles to certain other recent movies.

The movie seems to be an adaptation of the Hollywood movie 'The Proposal'. The proposal was a romantic comedy released in 2009. Certain song sequences in the movie resembles to that of Priyadarsan movie Vettom. The story and screenplay of the movie is just a transcription of Pete Chiarell's movie. However the director managed to make a typical Dileep film. The rate of his direction is based on the ratio of ingredients he added to make it as a comedy entertainer. Songs by Sejo John was good. The remix of 'Enthinennariyilla..' deserves a special mention.

Verdict of the movie

My Boss, latest flick of our popular hero has nothing much to offer. The whole film progresses with predictable scenes. It can be consider as a decent film while comparing to the earlier flicks of Dileep such as Mr Marumakan and Mayamohini. Go and watch this film without much expectation. It is typical comedy entertainer of Dileep and will make you laugh. It would be a box office hit.

SpiderKerala Rating - 6/10
SpiderKerala Verdict - Pass time entertainer
