Smoking in public has reduced very much in Kerala. The habit of serving smoking items in functions have stopped. Sales also are not done openly. However, vigilance is still needed to wipe out this habit.
The use of items like pan masala has increased. Most of the labourers are using it. Even among school students, the habit has spread. Use of these are dangerous than smoking. Strict legal actions should be there against those who sell them.
